Liv Austen - A Moment of Your Time
Recommended by Bex:
I am out of hibernation to discuss my current favourite pop artist.
The story of how we know Liv Austen is quite a touching one. We first met Liv when she supported Sarah Darling on tour in The Fleece, Bristol. Nothing unusual there, except we brought our then three-month-old daughter and a certain country slash pop star took a shine to her.
We felt such a rare vibe from Liv: talented, unassuming and genuinely personable. We have kept in touch with her since and her music has only grown on us. In these strange #QuarantineTimes, Liv has even video chatted with our now fifteen-month daughter - what an amazing act of kindness. I am also hoping to compose a remix for her at some point!
Do yourself a favour and stream everything Liv has released: Workin' Man's Dream if you enjoy country music, A Moment of Your Time if intelligent pop is your thing; new EP Popsicle if, like me, 'Penny & Me' is your jam.
In 2015, when asked what she hopes to achieve in 10 years, Liv said:
'10 years – yikes! I hope to be an established artist and songwriter who has tried out some new sounds, written and collaborated with great people and released several albums. I also hope to have done some acting jobs that I can be proud of – and I want a world tour under my belt!'
We can't wait to see you realise this dream. ❤

Bruno Mars - 24K Magic
Recommended by Bex:
I listened to 24K Magic last night while handling and cleaning my hamster. I don't consider this Bruno's intended audience (more candlelight and minimal clothing), but we enjoyed it nonetheless.
The length of the album also makes it an easy listen. I'm playing it again right now, it's a beautiful blend of sensual and soulful.

All Saints - Saints & Sinners
Recommended by Bex:
Arguably the most accomplished release, along with 2016's Red Flag. 'Black Coffee', particularly Version 2, is incredible. #MonthofAllSaints

Evanescence - Fallen
Recommended by Bex:
The 2003 classic, combining elements of nu-metal with gothic rock.
'Bring Me to Life' and 'My Immortal' both appear on the excellent Daredevil soundtrack. I always wanted to be Elektra. ❤
