Gwen Stefani - This Is What the Truth Feels Like

Recommended by Bex:

Fantastic comeback for Gwen, who is as cool and beautiful as she was when 'Don't Speak' rocked my world in 1996.

Alesha Dixon - Fired Up

Recommended by Bex:

This week I massively re-engaged with Mis-Teeq's back catalogue and, in doing so, acquired a copy of the 2003 Red Room Sessions release. There's no doubt hits like 'Scandalous' and 'One Night Stand' still sound current.

By extension, I also became interested in Alesha's solo work. I own a copy of The Entertainer, but otherwise hadn't delved much further. Ever intrigued by releases that don't make the cut I discovered Fired Up, which was postponed indefinitely and released only in Japan.

This album bears the most similarities to her work with Mis-Teeq. I was surprised to instantly recognise both 'Lipstick' and 'Knockdown', making it all the more clear this album should have seen the light of day.

Paul McCartney - Pure McCartney

Recommended by Bex:

Paul McCartney and his music need no introduction. Together with three of his friends, he changed the cultural landscape forever.

Paul's accomplishments since then as a member of Wings and a solo artist make for a staggering body of work that stands proudly alongside those eight sensational years with The Beatles.

The deluxe edition features 67 tracks, more than 40 of which were Top 40 hits including 'Maybe I'm Amazed', 'Live and Let Die', 'Ebony and Ivory', 'Dance Tonight' and 'New'.

Katy B - Honey

Recommended by Bex:

As Consequence of Sound rather passionately assert: Katy B is a master of capturing that oceanic feeling when individuality melts away, and every soul rises and falls together on the wave of the beat.

Essential tracks include 'Water Rising', 'Dark Delirium', and 'I Wanna Be'
